The government have announced that the following increases to the National Minimum Wage will come into force from 1st October 2013:
Adult rate (21 and over) – increasing from £6.19 to £6.31
Aged 18-20 – increasing from £4.98 to £5.03
Under 18 – increasing from £3.68 to £3.72
Apprentice – increasing from £2.65 to £2.68 (for apprentices aged under 19, or those in their first year)
