Best Products to Stay Warm this Winter at Work

Ambitions Blog 800X650 (H)

If, like a lot of the UK this week you’ve been plunged into snow, ice and freezing fog, getting and staying warm has been a challenge. It’s probably been harder to drag yourself out of bed and go through your normal commute, knowing you’ll walk through the door freezing. To help, we’ve been trawling the internet for some potential gadgets that could make your winter mornings a little bit easier.

Heated Mouse Mat

If you’re always waiting for your hands to defrost in the mornings, we’ve got a solution for you to get warm and be productive at the same time. These mousemats plug into the USB port on your PC, and gently heat up, allowing you to stay warm and keep working. You can get loads of different designs, from dog paws and cheeseburgers to something more functional. They’re only around £10, so might be worth the investment, even just for an excuse to put a burger on your desk!

Tech-Friendly Gloves

As we’ve been plunged to -5c this week, you’ve probably noticed that gloves make it impossible to use your phone whilst on the move. Well, now there are warm gloves that actually work with your phone’s touchscreen, making cold hands a thing of the past. They use rubber dots on the fingertips, triggering the sensor on the touchscreen, and for as little as £5, could make your life much easier.

Rechargeable foot warmers

If you literally get cold feet on your walk to work, then rechargeable insoles are perfect for winter commutes. You can adjust them to your liking and control the temperature remotely, ensuring you arrive toasty and warm. They charge on USB and come with a little remote you can keep in your pocket, making it impossible for anyone to know. At £40, it could make enough difference to take the plunge and buy.

Heated Travel Mug

You really can get a smart mug now. This is also ideal for those who are prone to leaving a cup of tea on the side to go cold. The mug will keep your beverage of choice at a constant temperature, which you can control remotely through your phone. You can even set the preferences for different drinks, giving you tea at perfect drinking temperature all the time. The cup costs £70, but is there really a price you can put on constantly perfect tea?

SmartDuvet

And one for Monday morning. The smart duvet has two temperature controlled zones, so no more fighting for the covers, being too hot or too cold. You can pre-set the temperature with your phone, giving you a warm bed when you do decide to turn in for the night. And the best bit? It makes itself! at the press of a button the whole device will roll out back into position without lifting a finger. Typically this doesn’t come cheap, at £200 you need to really hate making your bed to justify the investment.
