Later this year, changes to the law governing pensions are due to come into force requiring employers to automatically enrol all eligible workers in a pension scheme that meets certain quality requirements.
The changes will apply to both temporary workers and permanent employees. The Government has introduced various ‘staging dates’ for employers depending on their size. From the relevant staging date an employer will be obliged to start the automatic enrolment process.
